Recently I have re-explored smaller works on paper, using a variety of media. Themes also have altered, with a return to figurative themes.

Cascade 2

I initially explored motifs to illustrate ‘matter’, new material o from Hydrogen and helium. The beginning of material being. Cascade developed in layers over an extended period-an obvious subconscious influence of Japanese masters and themes, perhaps waterfalls. Acrylic on canvas 1200 x 1200

Battle of Mottram

Mottram is a small village in Longendale Valley in Derbyshire, where I was born. I loved comics as a child, even war comics. I thought I would explore the theme of battles in classical imagery.
